Making of commercial with the paint explosions
Ren: it's an advertisement, you love it, why not give them some credit?
I'm curious what the 3d guys were working on though, given that it was done for real...
Rss Feeds for individual Channels (Sift Talk Post)
mix: There used to be one for the Queue but it was taken down a while ago
Graceful Swimming Elephants
Exactly what it says on the tin... and that is awesome
Shaun Micallef: Polite Distances
I was surprised to see no Micallef skits on the sift yet - he's a great australian comic...
Inferno Downhill Skateboard Run (Do Not Try This At Home!)
I'm surprised they didn't have a tank of water or something for him to jump in. I wouldn't wanna lie there for a minute of so while my friends tried to put me out with a bucket & blanket...
Bill Bailey is Kar-ek, Ruler of Rancour (1:46)
I hate titles which spoil the punchline
Waves in a Large Free Sphere of Water (2:52)
that's pretty awesome, although the guy speaking is remarkably unexciting...
How Holograms Are Made (4:46)
Weird, I saw the same video with a different voiceover the other day. Most of the script was the same though...
For the record, 12 nanoseconds is not an *infinitely* short period of time, it is in fact... 12... nanoseconds.
Cat jumps into wall (no, not that one)
"no, not that one" seems a fairly useless modifier, especially when (in this case) it *is* that one...
The Real Hustle - Keylogging
If you already have the keylogger, getting the other details is hardly a hustle... It's just a matter of waiting. I wanna know how they got the keylogger on in the first place.
CG Liquid like you've never seen before. Amazing.
Heh... that last shot reminded me of b3ta
(impressive water though, although I feel I've seen bits of that before...)
Aiglx + Beryl - More Linux OS Eye Candy
Transitions are nice, but effects that you actually have to wait for are just frustrating. Although I'm sure it's configurable, depending on how much of a hacker you are. OSX's expose is still far greater than the beryl version, where windows seem to all jumble around and overshoot their mark...
Top Gear and the Mustang - Not quite Super-Cool
125 dash colours? thats ridiculous...
love the escape handle though.
Air Car from Australia (2 of 2)
This was once thought impossible?
The reporting of details leave a bit to be desired, all they say about efficiency is that it's "very good". Sure, I believe you...
Maybe I'm just dissappointed that it wasn't a flying car as I had hoped from the title
New Watersport Fun
That looks awesome, and utterly terrifying...
