Hate to be a killjoy, but this has already been posted (it's a smaller clip within a larger one) at

Explosion Compilation set to great music
Has it ever occurred to you, Doc_M, that military commanders were interested in the effects of atomic radiation on military and civilian personnel? You presume that probable harm would have shot down the plan to put them in harm's way, when it was the nature and magnitude of the harm that was in fact being tested.
Don't single out scientists as entirely culpable. Politicians and military commanders share the blame as well.

Penn Interviews The Mythbusters at the Amazing Meeting
That doesn't surprise me at all. Penn has a vastly inflated sense of the probity of his skepticism; if you watch his "Bullshit!" series, you'll see that he cares more about ridiculing his subject - trashing reputation via condescension and slanted interviews - than he does about any sort of critical analysis of the subject.
I love the Mythbusters. I think they're incredibly entertaining, and their approach is not entirely without merit. But scientists they are not, unless you're Penn Gillette, for whom the term means "people whose findings I agree with."
Pat Condell - Why Does Faith Deserve Respect
>> "I think the new "aggresive atheism" or whatever you want to call it, is just as bad as religious intolerance. It's religion intolerance. It's not better, just different. You're being just as bad as those you hate. Congrats"
Sorry if we're not sucking up to authority hard enough for you. Why don't we all just get along, give abstinence education a chance, accept that we have to unconditionally support Israel or Jesus won't come back, make it impossible for non-ideologues to hold public office, and generally contribute to the fucked-up status quo?
Ruffling a few feathers is obviously the real crime.
Pat Condell - Why Does Faith Deserve Respect
If you choose not to believe in the Higgs boson, you are free to challenge its existence with a reasoned, objective, contrary or complementary proposition. If your theory is verifiably more correct (and yes, there are degrees), eventually scientific consensus will favor your interpretation.
Faith precludes questioning; to suggest it is the 'best answer' would be like saying that the the best question is the one that is never posed. It is a nonargument, it is intellectually lazy, it encourages ignorance in the place of curiosity and an attempt to truly understand. Videos like this may win no converts, but to be honest, if someone's used to employing an intellectual shortcut to make himself feel good about the world, then his ignorance addiction is probably unbreakable by any means. It's the people who genuinely wonder, who are serious about learning, that this video is directed towards.
Flight of the Conchords - Think, Think About It
Too funny.
GT Countdown - Top Ten Scariest Video Games
"So complex and multi-layered it makes onions weep?"
The scariest thing about this clip is the agonizingly bad monologue.
Gandalf vs The Balrog - The Lord of the Rings
It's a small detail, but I love how Glamdring, Gandalf's sword, sings to him as he dives toward and catches it (it's hard to make out on the youtube version). It has this hum that sounds like menace and doom.
The craftsmanship that went into these movies is simply stunning.
Kid Does Napoleon Dynamite Impression At Spelling Bee
Haha awesome, this kid is from the same town where I grew up.
Simpsons parody of American Idol
I... don't get it. I mean, it's not funny.
Simon Cowell sings poorly, what an unexpected turn of events! Lisa is... Paula Abdul! Hilarious! Oh no wait, it's weaksauce.
All in all, a pale shadow of the genius that once was the hallmark of this show. For SHAME, Groening!
Kidkanevil - Kranium Rock
Fantastic -
Money's not evil /
it just hangs out with the wrong people.
The Dark Stanley Murders of Springfield Elementary
Wow, that was impressive.
DJ Shadow - This Time
Great tune. Weird that it appears on his hyphy album, but whatevs...
The Happiest Monster
Haha true enough.
The State - Kabuki Doug
Haha this brings back the memories. Nice post.
