I wasn't really interested in birds when I was younger but then I moved to Tokyo for 8 years where the only birds (and pretty much the only wildlife) were crows, sparrows, and pigeons. When I moved back to Canada, about a year ago, I suddenly found myself fascinated with nature and wildlife (I think it's a reaction to having none around for so long). So I've been taking a lot of nature walks and hikes and encountering a lot of beautiful and interesting looking birds, but unfortunately I usually don't know what their called.

The ones I do know the names of that I've seen around are:
- Bald Eagles, we have A LOT of these around here and I've seen quite a few juveniles this summer.
- Blue Heron
- American Kestrel
- Steller's Jay
- and some hummingbirds that feed at the flowers behind my place.

Although not officially a birder, i have seen the following in the area behind my house: Merganzers, Cormorants, Grackles, Kingfishers, Blue Heron and Bald Eagles. And Owls.

Basically what happened with health care in Canada is that the last two liberal governments were corporate liberals that slashed corporate taxes and to balance the budget cut health care funding to the provinces. And the present conservative government did the same thing. From the 1950s to the early 1990s there wasn't a problem with health care in Canada. But there is a problem now in that we don't train enough doctors by a huge factor. It's the result of systemic cuts over almost two decades.
The truth is that Canadian politicians from both major parties have bought into Thatcherism, Reaganism, whatever you want to call it. The two main political parties in Canada, like the US are dislocated from the people in that they are ideologically bent on serving those that control our resources. For Canada it's oil locally and mining internationally. Popular social programs like a universal child care program in Canada, which had overwhelming support, is relatively cheap, and the program it was based on in Quebec cut child poverty in half in under a decade, will never be considered by our modern liberal or conservative leaderships. They don't listen to the population.

Actually, this shows precisely the opposite. It shows that it's very hard to create a plausible forged document. Look at how many mistakes there are in this forgery, and that's before it's even been thoroughly investigated. I'm sure the age of the paper and ink wouldn't stand up to scrutiny.

By "online 'PROOF OF OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP!!!!'" do you mean the birth announcements and the certificate of live birth? Because these are not solely 'online' proofs, as well they have been investigated by many people and have passed the 'smell test'. In fact there is a huge qualitative difference between this forgery and the "PROOF OF OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP". One is clearly a fake and the other is backed up by a great deal of research and much evidence.

Check out any video that's more than a few months old and you'll notice that they all have votes from Siftbot. Back a few months when something went bad (I can't remember exactly when, March maybe?) all the data got screwed up. They were able to reconstruct the number of votes each video had before the data loss, but not the specific voters. So sift bot just went around and added back all the votes. I hope that makes sense.
