I laughed so hard I genuinely felt a moment of pity for America, but it went away and I found myself laughing harder and harder.

As an English Atheist, I often find it excruciating to listen to Richard Dawkins - he's usually the angry, petulant teenage voice of Atheism - but this didn't annoy me as much as usual. Yet I still see him as an intolerant and embarrassing figurehead for Darwinism and Evolution, and hold him in the same light as those abuse and twist religious dogma for their own hateful ends.

The woman here is clearly a deluded, ill-educated, bile-spewing plutocrat who sees no value in life unless it is hers and hers alone. We don't have many people like that in Britain, everyone here knows all human beings have a right to healthcare whether they can afford it or not. We just have a handful of neo-conservative bigots who believe free healthcare for all is wrong because seeing poor people suffer and die increases bloodflow to their withered genitals.

America is, sadly, plagued by such impotent neo-cons, and I feel sorry for each and every one of you. You are stuck in a place filled with intellectually challenged individuals who ironically see the kind of freedom, humanity and decency your founding fathers fought for as communism.

This is really bad, but the more of them I watch, the more I love it.

When I watched this scene for the first time, it proved to me how utterly useless my screenwriting tutor was. Getting a first at university in writing/screenwriting felt so hollow because of how utterly brilliant Robert McKee is, how much he has since taught me about the craft.
