The problem bcglorf is that a lot of people unfortunately watch and believe Fox News. So he might not care what they think but many do and he i feel helped them here. His subtlety get swallowed up by their usual tactic of talk loud and be obnoxious. He should of never gone on in the first place. When will everyone as a whole band together and boycott them.

One thing to say about this guy was he was speaking on NPR the other day and wanted to dispel the concept that the world shares is that "America has been living beyond its means" (sort of like Ron Paul said) so this fall would be natural. He stated that this wasnt true and that Americans have been struggling just to break even for some time and the increasing amount of personal debt is direct proof of that.

No i dont think that dispels anything, now i dont think all Americans are living in mansions or anything but wouldnt it be fair to say that many Americans struggling just to break even with their homes, cars, college funds, etc are in fact trying to maintain a lifestyle that was beyond them in the first place? Many people around the world dont have 2 story 4 bedroom houses, not everyone in the world could ever afford to go to college, and not many people in the world have a car for each family member let alone more than just one. Just a thought from an American who is struggling to pay the rent on a 600sqft apartment and that is WITH a roommate, so when i look around and see certain people claiming they're "struggling" i cant help think that they are just scared of losing the incredible amount they already have and should be thankful for even a fraction of it, the bar has been set rather high.

Genius, you vote for McCain accidentally. They casually say "oh just hit it again" and this time its for Obama no problem. You think everything is ok. However what if the machine actually counted both votes. Therefore the votes cancel each other out so that come election day its not about getting more votes for McCain its about negating votes for Obama.

I actually i think this was a great interview (for Faux News), you take in intelligent guy who seemed to know what he was talking about and call him out on it in an attempt to destroy his credibility. I am not blind with hatred for Fox News (yet) to see that this interview was probably extremely effective to viewers because he came off stammering, back tracking, and weak, everything Fox News wanted. He didnt really answer any question fully or effectively (thanks to her constant interruptions) but he also didnt squash her tactics to make him look bad, like a fool he walked right into them which started when he agreed to go on Fox News of all things. So yes for them it was a great interview.

Have any of you actually tried to have "the talk" with you parents/grandparents? Did you find out how pointless and futile it truly is? Me too. The idea that young people have that they can "change" old peoples views who have been set in their ways for decades is not only incredibly naive but in my opinion selfish. I dont dare to hold myself as superior to them, they are avid fox news watching, palin lovin, southerners, and i still refuse to look down on them for all the sacrifice they made for me and the wisdom (in other areas) they have. I disagree with them sure, but i wont judge them, thats the way they are and i accept them for it.
