It's ironic that these days the christian right has taken up media distortion when it was people of their train of thought in big corporations who were/are creating the most drastic distortions/manipulation of thought on the airwaves.

Funny how they're trying to turn it around during this election - no one would have distorted that woman's opinion - they would probably have shown it uncut - the complete and honest dreadful truth that it would have been and that is what she was afraid of. Ignorance breeds fear.

That's a powerful statement considering those with their toes nailed down by the nails of religion and repressive small-town mindedness are unwilling to comprehend. Which is a complete generalization because when I was growing up I was nailed down by religion and lived in a small town. And yet many of the youth around were holding punk shows at VFWs, reading zines and breaking out of the mold - but most of us apart of that society had to get away from the conservative-minded (notice I'm not speaking of money, because being conservative with money is a great thing, hehe) towns. I can only hope that narrow-mindedness is astounding to more americans in the future.

That was awesome! Though, Godspeed aren't really avant-garde - they're poli-post-rock, not at all avant-garde. definitely isn't one of their best songs but all their songs are good. Remember the Godspeed song towards the beginning of "28 Days Later" ?
