I'm not usually a fan of his stuff either, he usually plays it like the GOP are the bad guys and overlooks the fact that while Democrats say better things, they continue (and escalate) the wars, the lobbying, the wealth extraction, the environmental destruction etc. He occasionally picks up on this, but pretty rarely it seems, which leads me to believe there's some agenda there. Also I'm against this 'fair and balanced' type of news/media, where for some reason, every debate must involve someone with their head buried so far in the corporate think tank they may as well just be a Frank Luntz manikin that repeats talking points on request.

Also, I don't really know why people feel the need to debate the motives of the Tea Party, they only came out with their signs because they were organised and funded by think tank GOP groups (tax exempt 501(c)(4)'s)/billionaire individuals/Fox News. So their motivations are irrelevant as they were literally coached and coerced into doing what they did.

"When spontaneous movements occur in a country, the Johnny-come-latelies like to join and redirect the original intent of the Tea Party movement, and the original intent of the Occupiers. So for that reason, the political people get involved and they try to grab hold of the message. And I think that's been the case on both sides."

thats a concern of mine also.
when they cant ignore/ridicule you away they try to co-opt you.
hence what happened to the tea party.
OWS is a bit too unorganized to be so easily co-opted at the moment but that can change at any time and the fact they are so amorphous may have its strengths..it has its weaknesses too.

i dont want to see what happened to the tea party happen to OWS but there is a high possibility it will.
and then what?
that anger is not just going to go away.
we live in interesting times my friends.

The TEA Party is just fed up with corrupt government and the only way to fight back is to go back to the original intent of the founders and that to to just plainly follow the constitution. How can that be wrong?

There is so many unconstitutional policies on and everyone knows it.

The report on the government officials practicing insider trading just came out and it indicated a 98%+ corruption of elected leaders. How sad. Only 2 republicans were singled out as having not participated in this actions, and that was Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann. These 2 don't have a chance of winning the party nomination because they are deemed too radical or such. Are they? Or have we drifted astray? I would gather there would be a Democrat or 2 also that have clean sheets and they should run against Obama.

We don't need more of the same. We need change. Obama did not bring change. The wars did not end. Gitmo still stands. The Patriot Act is even more intrusive. TSA - need I say more? Spending is totally out of control. Our credit rating took a hit because we yet again raised out debt ceiling. Have we not learned anything from what is going on on Greece and Europe?

We have to wake up and vote for officials who are loyal to the ideals of the Constitution and not to themselves. We the people also need to stop asking for a handout just because its "free". nothing is free only freedom and we are loosing it at a very fast rate.

Stop voting just to beat the other guy. I feel that Gingridge can wipe the floor in an Obama debate but he will never get my vote.
For purely principle sake I would have to Vote for Paul or Bauchmann. Sure I disagree on some things but they would preform their elected duties following the constitution. Isn't that what the a are supposed to do? Don't they take an oath on the Bible to uphold the constitution?

OWS=Fix Government... Tea Party=Destroy Government...

Based on - what exactly? Even the most cursory examination of the OWS goons shows they are a bunch of anarchists who would blow up the whole system if given thier druthers. The Tea Party has shown no such tendencies.

The Tea Party operates on the premise of influencing elections legally by voting for people who will reduce the size, scope and influence of government (a VERY necessary goal). OWS operates on the premise of illegal squatting, riots, and attacking completely innocent 3rd parties like cops, businesses, and private citizens.

The base message of each movement is government is bad vs. we need to take back government. The TP actually started out with the same base message as OWS but were unfortunately led astray by $$$.

I'm a (fully educated & employed) "occupy goon" and I only assaulted two people and one dog today. I couldn't fit in any more murder as my knives are dull. Go easy bro, I'm trying to live up to your exceptional T-Par-T standards but it's tough with all this blood-lust running through my crazy anarchist brain.
