therealblankmansays...This is what we who live here refer to as "The 'Shore". You're all welcome, can crash at my place & I'll show you around.
NordlichReitersays...Woa, that place is cool. We had a similar place in my hometown, but with out all the wooden ramps, and ours was a refuge for the dregs. So naturally the fuzz, and the city council frequented the spot.
therealblankmansays...Here, it's not "a place". There are a couple of dozen trails on the North Shore mountains, all built and maintained by volunteers. Vancouver is a Mecca for mountain bikers from around the world. We invented this type of riding, and the bikes have improved because of it. The ramps, skinnies and other stunts were invented out of necessity, as a way of riding over otherwise impassable ground. Other sites try to duplicate the experience, but there is only one 'Shore.
jasonycsays...The POV cam is fantastic. I don't remember the last time I've said 'Woah' out loud so many times.
It actually scared me a bit.
Great job.
James Roesays...Yeah, that was pretty awesome. I have just gotten into biking everywhere recently. It's a pretty great feeling, ++ bike snobbery, but I am not up to that yet, or possibly ever.
Goofball_Jonessays...I misread the title and thought "amazing BACKWARDS bike track".
Now if they had done that track backwards, that really would be amazing!
siftbotsays...Tags changed from "mountain bike, track, proffesional" to "mountain bike, track, professional" by gold star member pho3n1x.
viewer_999says...That is beautiful and insane. It's hard to tell from the vid sometimes - how much of it is downhill versus flat? Looks like it's almost all downhill, which is too good to be true.
At first I read it as 'backwards bike trick' too.
therealblankmansays...This trail is on Mt. Fromme- so most all downhill, the only real flats are if you follow a map contour. Have a look at http://www.nsmb.com/ or this wikipedia article here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Fromme
conansays...if you enjoy this kind of stutt be sure to check out the dvd series "kranked"
michiesays...that was fun...and i never even broke a sweat
leeweeksays...i have gone to maountain bike trails before, and they are massive rutted mud pits in perfectly good forest, and im suprized, that even how popular this place is, it still manages to be somewhat nice to the forest, it jumps over the bushes, not through them!
AnimalsForCrackerssays...Rofl, where the hell is this...the forests of Endor? Craziness.
gorgonheapsays...blankman you shouldn't say such things I'll actually take you up on that.
therealblankmansays...Gorgon- no probs, drop me a line.
