Sadly, Florida made this illegal. FLORIDA! THE BATSHIT crazy state!

1. I believe all gays should be forced to own guns. No gay marriage without the exchange of revolvers!
2. Gerry Mander deserved better than this.
3. Apparently that's the freedom those muslim terrorists hate. First WTC, now Paris. Go figure.

Non-partisan Federal Election Commission should draw these boundaries, not elected officials.

Many democracies try real hard to divorce anything related to elections from the people that are actually elected. Australian Electoral Commission sure does.

or, to get 1 step closer to sanity- how about just modify the law that all 'districts' have to be contiguous areas, comprised of neighboring municipalities. If you can't draw a single polygon of the district without lifting your "pen", then it's illegal.

This drives me absolutely nuts in Utah. It makes it so even the one democrat we DID have in Congress (back in the early 00's and 90's) will now only appear if it happens to be a blood moon and Cher releases a new album on election day...
