Shepppardsays...I bought dead island the day it came out.
Played it, loved it, went to work the next day (I work in a kitchen at a restaurant) and kept talking about it. The entire kitchen and half of the front of house staff own this game now, which is actually quite a feat because the local game stores can't keep it in stock.
Not a single person who works with me thinks it's a shit game. Yes, it has a couple bugs here or there, but overall the game is pretty damn awesome, and I think this is one of those cases where he's just complaining because he liked the game he reviewed last week.
xxovercastxxsays...Here's the incredible trailer (that really has nothing to do with the game):

AeroMechanicalsays...Yeah, I really liked it too and don't know why it gets hated on so much. It's likely because aside from the first L4D, I never played any of the other zombie games.
ToastyBuffoonsays...I am thoroughly enjoying the game as well. I get the feeling that he sometimes looks at a game with "reviewer" eyes instead of just taking the time to try to enjoy it (if that makes sense to anyone). He readily admitted to just trying to rush through the main campaign instead of doing some of the side quests as well, and those can sometimes net you some of the cooler things in the game like new blueprints for combining weapons.
The only real complaint I have with the game is the rapid degradation of the weapons. I'm fine with having to repair them, but I'd like to hit more than a mere 10 zombies before I need to switch or repair them.
With all the negativity this guy spews in most of his "reviews", I wonder if he forgot how to have fun.
cybrbeastsays...Also I think it's a bit strange that you can repair weapons by applying large amounts of cash
Would be more reasonable if you'd repair them with spare parts or junk metal/electronics.

Ok, I'm not sure if its been said here before or not. He's not a Game Reviewer. He's a game Critic. Its his job to pick apart the game not give it some type of Ad bought thumbs/Star rating.
