Japan have mastered this shit. Seriously, I actually found myself amazed by the packaging there. It's like someone thought "How do we make this package open" for more than 2 seconds!

He's right though, North American food packaging is pretty bad!
Most people don't open things the way the manufacturer intended because it just doesn't work.

This reminds me of those guys filmed in black and white during infomercials that try to wrap a sandwich in saran wrap, failing in the most absurdly clumsy ways and ending up burning their house down while wrapped in a cocoon of plastic. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY.
