its quite nice at the front but the back is horrible

It looks almost modern. Especially the front with the tear-drop double headlights.

I've always thought the Citroen's were a bit ugly, but compared to other cars of the 50s they were pretty progressive.

I don't think it is a beautiful car at all. But then I am not a car person.

In 1955, most cars had FINS, for goodness' sake. It's not an incredibly beautiful car by today's standards in my opinion, but nothing else from its era even comes close.
