"Junip is a Folk Rock band (Healing and Easy listening according to their myspace) that have existed since 1999, maybe even 1998, in Gothenburg, Sweden, formed by José González (guitar, vocals), Elias Araya (drums) and Tobias Winterkorn (organ, moog). Their first 7-inch came out in 2000, followed in 2006 by the self-released “BLACK REFUGE” EP. Junip has periodically gathered together to record when schedules permitted, including 2009’s single “Chickens/Azaleadalen”. Their first full album, “Fields”, was released in 2010." [last.fm]

Got to see Jose Gonzalez live, and agree - he's one of those artist/singers that sounds even better live.

Moving this video to evil_disco_man's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.

i've been able to see him (in a church with amazing acoustics), him opening for and then playing with zero 7, and junip which was at a very small movie theatre and was akin to being high on some fantastic warm drugs. everything he does is gold.>> ^evil_disco_man:

Where I saw him was a very small, intimate setting as well. That type of atmosphere makes it even better.
