If you think about walking on hot coals causing no pain, no way is the contact time significant in this example. Maybe the extra weight of the batteries though!

If these guys hosted Mythbusters, every single myth would be "plausible".

I think a good test would be to build 2 identical boards, with riders the same gross weight, go down side by side, not doing any tricks.
The natural speed of the snow can vary throughout the day, so the side-by-side race would be better than consecutive on/off runs.
