WEP is insecure. That pimp should be using WPA2-PSK with AES (aka Rijndael) encryption.

At a client's yesterday,(yes i'm a computer consultant) and was looking for an open wifi, because she was hard wired into fiber, i didn't have a hub/switch with me, and i hadn't re-installed mytether to my just replaced pre yet... so anyway I'm looking for an open wifi when i notice one with an ssid called 175 pubichairs... i mumbled something about it and my client heard me.... first she(woman in her 60s) said.... "eh gross." then.... "well i guess they counted." i almost fell off my chair laughing.

WPA2-PSK is also insecure, only less so.

Thats why I use SSID. No one sees what your doing.
