Issykittysays...This cat genuinely seems to LOVE his bath.
schmawysays...My cat likes baths almost as much. Well he doesn't LIKE them, but he doesn't really struggle that hard. I've been flayed by other cats at bathtime. Looked like a Hitchcock movie with blood (mine) swirling down the drain.
MarineGunrocksays...Well, that's one cat who won't need a trip to the spa.
This video was two minutes too long, but upvote for the look on the cat's puffy face.
aychbergsays...THAT'S GARFIELD!!!
aychbergsays...THAT'S GARFIELD!!!
arvanasays...The squashy-faced cats always seem to me to have a look of utter contempt towards humans. This one looks like it wouldn't matter what you did to it, it would just think: "I do hope you are amusing yourselves..."
QuadraPixelsays...That cat does not like being bathed, he's ignoring it while he plans to end their lives!
cybrbeastsays...Why do people wash their cats anyway? I've had multiple cats and they've never been smelly. I see no need in washing, they can do that themselves.
Issykittysays...Well cybrbeast, for the most part that is true. Cats do clean themselves very well, but did you notice that this is a long haired (Persian) cat breed? I grew fond of a retired show cat once, and the fur on that kitty had to be combed out and brushed AT LEAST once daily, but more ideally needed several daily grooming sessions. That cat could not do it by himself, as hard as he tried. Not to mention, this cat would go and wander about outdoors and get all sorts of crap tangled in its fur. There are times when cats NEED to be bathed, truly and for sure.
sepatownsays...riveting
rgroom1says...that was quite the thorough ass scrubbing, probably my fav. part of a bath!
maatcsays...I think it just weighed a ton from all the water in the fur and could not run away...
bamdrewsays...'The Cat that Could Not Care' ... by Dr. Seuss
10158says...I brought my kitty (named Hungry because she said she was hungry) into my bath one time. She just laid down on my lap. Only we have to be careful with the bathing soaps when we do that.
Keep kitty on the lap, and bathe yourself after you bathe and dry the kitty. Cat shampoo is human-safe, but human shampoo is not necessarily cat-safe.
Paybacksays...Fake!
If you start early enough, and fairly regularily, any cat will be ok with a bath. It's when, after a couple years of owning it, you decide to start and they get in your face. The cat in this video, this is just Saturday.
LittleRedsays...Ha. They only show you the part of the video where the cat actually enjoys it. Notice at the end, she lifts up his tail and starts really inspecting his bum? I have a feeling he wasn't too happy after that.
Issykittysays...My cat is NEVER ok with a bath. Never was. She was also never ok with getting her claws trimmed. It probably does depend on the cat, but my kitty is very unaccepting, and doing either of those tasks is a TWO person job. One to handle her with protective gloves, and one to do the washing and grooming. Fun!
Darkhandsays...As much as this cat enjoyed the bath I still feel bad for when s/he had to get his/her ass washed. Even though it's just a cat don't film it!
