Warren Zevon is one of the great songwriters. His music was too weird for most (Werewolves of London notwithstanding) and his tragedy is that too few know who he was. I hope you enjoy this, my first post.

Warren William Zevon (January 24, 1947 – September 7, 2003) was an American rock singer-songwriter and musician noted for including his strange, sardonic opinions of life in his musical lyrics, composing songs that were sometimes humorous and often had political or historical themes.

He came down with "inoperable mesothelioma", which he refused treatments and started on his final album.

According to the wiki, he was diagnosed with cancer in 2002 which killed him
