Vicious Beatdown on the River (Helmet Cam View)

First person view of what it's like to get recirculated in a hole. This is kayaking speak for being trapped in the hydraulic at the bottom of a falls. Just enough water is flowing backwards at that point to pull you back in.

The boater ejects and is carried downriver where his friends are waiting with ropes. Notice how at 1:43 you can see his boat still being chundered at the base of the falls.

Not familiar with this river, it is Little White Salmon up in Washington. Very deceptively powerful hydraulic. I got caught in a nasty one that looked like nothing. Little concrete man made dam with a slower water flow than we see there. It had me tumbling so much that someone had to come in and grab me, or else I would of been gone. Water is scary.
