US Navy Satellite Launches Into Orbit

A vital communications satellite was launched into orbit for the U.S. Navy on 21st of January 2015. An Atlas 5 rocket was used to deliver the payload. The MUOS-3 will provide communications and connectivity to the armed forces.

Enhances communication for US forces on the moon?! Did I hear the commentator's description of the satellite correctly?

The Atlas V first stage uses kerosene and liquid oxygen. Not all rockets use fossil fuels, but this one does.
