Trump Claims 1775 Revolutionary Army 'took over airports'

Donald Trump made another embarrassing error when addressing crowds during his Independence Day speech, saying the army 'took over the airports' from the British during the revolutionary war in the late 1700s, despite air travel not occurring in the US until the early 1900s. Trump was speaking at the Lincoln memorial in Washington as part of his 4 July 'Salute to America' celebrations

Funny, he's now blaming the teleprompter, something he used to ridicule Obama and Clinton for using at all, but without one Trump just rambles incoherently about airports in the 1700's.

"I don't use Teleprompters." - Donald Trump

"I say we should outlaw teleprompters … for anybody running for president.” - Donald Trump

“I’ve started to use them a little bit, They’re not bad. You never get yourself in trouble when you use a teleprompter." - Donald Trump

(referring to this particular speech) "I knew the speech very well so I was able to do it without a teleprompter," - Donald Trump

"I have one of the greatest memories of all time." - Donald Trump

Hmmm, @bobknight33 what do you say? Were there airports in the revolutionary war, or - perhaps - are DT's mental faculties not quite as amazing as he claims?
