Top 10 Jackie Chan Stunts

I'd almost expect an EIA tag for this. Seriously, though, Jackie in his prime was hardcore. Still, I don't get why they wouldn't use even the most rudimentary safety devices in some of these stunts. Like that last one... why not land on a safety air cushion? They cut the take before he hit the ground anyway. Doesn't seem like the dislocated pelvis was really necessary.

Oh well, I guess it's true what they say though. Pain is temporary but film is forever.

In a lot of his early films they simply did not have the budget or expertise for safety gear and equipment. In his later films, there generally are safety precautions taken. During the slide down the building in "Who am I?", for example, he was attached to a winch.

I enjoyed the Tuxedo, but mostly because Jennifer Love Hewitt is smoking hot and gets down to showing a good bit of skin in it

Jacky Chan is the man. Easily the best martial art movie maker of his time and some of his movies, especially older ones, are unbelievable. I don't know how many times I've been flipping through channels on a boring sunday night and come acrossed a Jacky Chan flick and enjoyed ever minute of it. Even if I'd seen it half a dozen times before and even if it's one of his less impressive but still good ones.

OUCH! That CRAAAZY mofo, Jackie Chan!!! His insanity has really made for great action cinema. It's really a wonder he hasn't gotten himself killed yet. Oh, and yay for Angry Nintendo Nerd!!! He cracks me up!

I wish AVGN would do more clips out of character, his take on the convoluted and disjointed history of Zelda was also really well done. I remember his Bible games reviews had me in tears first time I saw it but after that the whole novelty of it wore off.

I was really impressed by the commentary, avgn surely knows his stuff, especially when it comes to references to Buster Keaton, and the other slient film references. It also showed me that Jackie had some inspiration that you wouldn't perhaps expect.

The commentary also benefits from avgn's voice being rather pleasing and calming.

Back on topic, the pole slide obviously was going to be number one, come on, that stunt is hard core, and not any old sort of "hardcore", as the term is over used somewhat, but really HARDCORE.
