The sad story of the World's Largest Record Collection

Paul Mawhinney spent his life collecting over 3 million records, and has been trying to sell his archive before he dies, but nobody wants it.

Sad. I've been to a lot of antique stores and records are one of the most worthless things in the shop. Nobody even bothers to browse them.
He needs to find a museum willing to archive them rather than expecting someone to come along and buy. Or he could talk to Moby.

That guy very succinctly said about the sound of vinyl what I have been failing to communicate to people I know. Fine! Call me a vinyl snob.... but you don't know what you're missing unless you actually listen to one.

I've been collecting vinyl and '78s for years now, but I'm way more picky since it's my own private collection... my collection is only just now breaking a thousand.... but if it's worth listening to I'll make a digital transfer to preserve the grooves on the records. Very human, the record.
