When I was 12 I was hit by a car doing 40 and flew over the stop light cables. I lucked out and landed on my head…otherwise I might have been hurt!
70s kids were Tonka tough. Bicycle helmets weren’t even invented until 1975, and not in regular or professional use until the 90s.
