The Evolution of the Hipster

Meet the Hipster.

I hate hipster talk. It's the arrogance/ignorance of large portions of society to try to take a stab at thousands of sub-cultures. This isn't the 60's any more - every little town, village and city has an immense array of alternative life-style, sub-cultures.

Whatever, I'm sure most of you are aware of that and anyway the conclusion is HILARIOUS!! And THE STINK of the Hipppppyyy!!! HAHAHA!!

I don't think I've ever run into a hipster like they're describing. There is a large culture of people around here who are obviously nonconformist and dress exactly as they are describing...and they're into obscure bands (which they didn't talk about), but the attitude is completely different than what they say. I've never got the impression of condescension from these people in the slightest. A hipster is a very friendly person around my college-town area.

If it weren't for hipsters there's be nobody to support all those Indy bands and film makers. Sure a lot of its self indulgent crap, but occasionally something great from those bands and film makers comes along to breath some fresh air into the rest of us in the commercialized world.
