It's Oscar-winningly brutalist art, although not strong enough to be channelled there. Makes me laugh like *comedy does though. There were at least 6 or 7 different words in this compilation.

All f*ckings aside, loved the slice of life style the plot was presented in, done in typical Scorsese fashion. Captured the essence of the Boston PD and it's estranged/oddball Bostonian mob. Accents/mannerisms of the typical hardcore Masshole are dead on too...Fun movie overall.

Too bad the original movie didn't win the 4 Oscars.

Gotta love remakes.

I just watched this tonight. I loved the attempt at gritty Boston realism - but the ending was so over the top as to be comical.

I wonder what the exact count was.

Other than the great acting from Leonardo and Jack, this movie was very dissappointing. Enough plot-holes to kill a horse. As Scorcese flicks go, was quite a let-down.

Actually, I think it was a charity lay. Scorcese got ripped off a number of times previous, so the academy felt like they owed him.
