In addition to being an instant classic cartoon, it'd be remiss to not also highlight that the *music in this video is key, the instrumentals and the vocals both.

I can recall singing this in various instances in life - "But the cat came back/ the very night day / the cat came back / they thought he was a goner / but the cat came back / he just wouldn't stay away." (gimmie a meow!)
