The Antonov An-225 "Mriya" - (World's Largest Cargo Plane)

With an overall length of 84 metres, a wingspan of 88 metres, and a payload capacity of 250 metric tonnes, the Antonov An-225 "Mriya" (Dream) is the world's largest & heaviest operational cargo plane. Built in 1988, it was originally intended to be used for the Soviet space programme, but is instead used commercially since the collapse of the Iron Curtain. Aside from the frame of an incomplete second model that's been in storage for 23 years, it's the only one of it's type in existence.

What a difference a coat of paint makes. It wasn't nearly as fresh-looking at LEJ back in '08, when it still had the single red stripe along the fuselage.

Speaking of paint, I wonder how many pounds of paint go onto a plane that size.

As far as I know, a primarily white A380 takes about 650kg of paint, so my guess would be ~700-750kg for this one. The second An-225, the one they never finished, could certainly use some paint, judging by thesethreepictures.>> ^BoneRemake:

That motherfucker is the size of my neighborhood and can still screw gravity, steal 40 bucks for cab fare out of her purse, and sneak out of her window before she wakes up. Humans! Humans! We so rock!
