Testing a homemade railgun when...

I had to go to youtube to figure out what happened. Apparently the copper base ricocheted, hitting the camera man. He wasn't hurt.

Just watched this railgun vid the other day. Found the setup pretty interesting

He said he test fired it before, but I got the impression that shot packed more punch than either of them expected.

Where's the power source? Other railgun videos I've seen require very large external power sources like arrays of car batteries to get through half a foot of ballistic gel. I think this is just a standard rifle in a costume.
