So, I guess National Geographic has moved on from majestic nature films about migrating wildebeests and decided to demo well-known methods of vandalizing car windows.
Sigh.

Although, the physics are kind of cool--the ability of the impact of the ceramic chip to release the internalized stresses of a tempered window is interesting.

Would have been better if they'd used a real hammer instead of the mallet on the window first, but....

I learned this from ABC news back in the 90s.

Or he could have used a metal hammer not a rubber mallet. NG is disappointing.

I am really growing a distaste for overusing the word "hack" for everyday interesting things that slightly improve ones life.

I learned all this from, well, being a teenager.., isn't this standard teen knowledge --tell me something I didn't already know

There's standard key-chain defense dongles (several variations) that are perfect for shattering safety glass...Some pistol-grips have em as well-
