longdeI guess if you're going to peak at the prom, may as well spend a mint.
However, more than 10% of take home pay is pretty high. They must be charging this on credit.
YogiParents today seem to be using their children's youth as something to cherish and worship because after they leave high school, their lives are effectively over. Even through college you work hard to get an education you most likely won't use. You get a job, you'll have for awhile then you'll be fired. Or worse you won't get hired and you'll live with your parents for a GOOD long time (some till their 30 or something).
Again pointing out how I'm a soccer referee. Youth games and tournaments and high school is the worst. Parents yell and scream like you're taking their children's lives from them. They threaten and argue and yell at coaches and refs about their little Billy or Lilly and how they're perfect and we're awful people for ruining their games. It's becoming unbearable.
antGood thing I never had to worry about this on my prom dates since I never had any.
