siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Lies, Politics) - requested by NetRunner.
vairetubesays...at least those two were wasting each others time
Draxsays.....now I want some KFC.
Throbbinsays...Awesome! Although I dunno how this qualifies as lies...
Ornthoronsays...The same old story: They give a part of the bible that agrees with their talking point of the day unnaturally much weight, and ignore all the rest.
HollywoodBobsays...Conservatives should try reading the bible as a whole not picking and choosing passages out of context.
If Jesus was alive today he'd be a member of the Green Party.
ForgedRealitysays...If Jesus were alive today, he'd be a member of the Libertarian Party.
Morganthsays...The Fox News guy takes the Matthew passage way out of context. That's actually a parable illustrating how grace is the same for those with lots of sin and those with not much and if you've received any grace you don't have room to complain.
It has nothing to do with work and wages except in that it's a metaphor the people would have understood.
Nithernsays...Hey look, its not just Hannity, Beck, and O'Reilly that try to talk over their guest, when the guest is talking. Its this idiot as well.
When you debate people, its a give & take format. The guest speaks then the host, then back to the guest. Both sides give the other the dignity and honor of the other's presence and time to talk. Between highly educated individuals, they will explain the pro's and con's of their arguement, then give evidence for their arguement, and afterward, explain their arguements details.
This, never happens on Fox News or its shows. Things are reduced to mere sound bits, more likely due to the station's audience (whom lack being civil, educated, honest, and patient).
If someone is from the Vatican, I would be respectful, patient, and clear. I do not believe as the Catholics do on Christianity. But that does not give me the right to be rude, insulting or childish. And I would expect the same from the other person (who, seems to understands this basic concept).
Drachen_Jagersays...The end of the section dickhead was referring to.
“When they received it, they grumbled at the landowner, saying, ‘These last men have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorching heat of the day.’ “But he answered and said to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? ‘Take what is yours and go, but I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. ‘Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’ “So the last shall be first, and the first last.”
Sounds like a lesson on generosity and not complaining because someone else got a better deal than you did. If I may paraphrase; If your deal was fair then you're in no position to complain, don't be petty.
Absolutely not the interpretation they wanted to give when twisting the words.
Oh and it's Matthew 20, not Mark.
rebuildersays...So, a financial news program where people debate what Jesus would do, complete with bible-thumping on both sides?
What?
