If this was somehow done during the Dark Ages when there were only a dozen TV stations and purists would be forced to watch whichever episodes were aired, this might have been an issue.

In the age of DVD and downloads, rejoice! The updated effects add value without intruding on the stories.

The shot with the shuttlecraft sitting in the rear shuttle bay really bothers me. I mean, think of the scale... imagine a little Kirk next to the shuttle, then compare it to the rest of the enterprise. HE'S HUGE! O.o

The scale they are using is the same as the OG scale.
So blame the old modelers!!
