This guy speaks a lot of truth. I don't think it's too late for the US though. There's still a chance to turn it around. Kucinich/Paul in 08.

^Nope. Too late, dag. I'm crashing at your house when the bottom falls out. I'm bringing my son and my nephew too. Hey, we'll take the trash out once or twice a year to earn our keep. That's how often you have garbage pickup in Australia, right?

If this is the end, if there is no way to save ourselves now, then I will stay until the ship goes down. Because if it happens then here is where the story will be, to witness one of the greatest colapses in history is a dubious honor that not many people get to have. I wouldnt forgive myself if i didnt stay till the end
