Sony's new ultra thin OLED TVs

OLED = organic light-emitting diode. It's an amazing new technology that will enable extremely thin TV's with a contrast ratio that is about 100 times better than the best consumer LCD's or Plasma's on the market today. They use less power to run, and are way brighter too. A few issues reamain to get this technology to the mainstream, the big issue being the organic material used has a relatively short lifespan. However this issue is being addressed, and in fact is near a solution. It's quite clear looking at the facts here this OLED would be a game changer if released in actual production products, being that it's also easier, more efficient and cheaper to manufacture.

Walked past a sony store in the freekin' mall today.....don't go to the mall much,......is that strange, that sony would have a store???.....Hey, this ain't no backwoods cracker, there are four malls in a 20 mile radius here, Just can't justify certain consumer venues, when there is no other reason to go than to look at chicks and midgets.....(SORRY!! Little Persons!!)......get into too much trouble....

This is basically what will put us in "Minority Report" world where any relatively flat surface can display video. Newspapers, cereal boxes, clothes, tattoos, road surfaces, windshields, frigging BRICKS will someday use OLEDs.

Yes... from all those still, colorful pictures I can tell that the OLEDs have much better color and black level than my LCD monitor. Oh wait, I'm watching the video on my LCD monitor. Furniture stores do this all the time too: look at the amazing picture on our TV... on your crappy old TV.

actually the sad thing is that WE are watching it on crappy, grainy, and blurry YouTube video. thats why i never upvote those vids of "next gen" games or anything that just show off the graphics. I CANT SEE THEM DAMN GRAPHICS!
