YES! Getting mad at the audience is always funny. Johnny Carson used to do it and it was hilarious.

Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger could be said to be retiring because it scares the shit out of him, but not probably in the way you would think. 'Airline safety' in the US is becoming increasingly less so with the lengthening of pilot flight hours, reduction of pay and benefits, leading to more and more qualified people turning down the job.
