he's in a studio, smooman - probably multiple takes and as many songs as they can fit in the studio time.. it's fine to go mental when you're playing a small set but stamina must play a real part when you're drumming so fast and for so long (correct me if i'm wrong)

Agree with dannym. If he's being recorded he's going to want to be as precise as possible and save the theatrics for the stage.

yes, when metalheads refer to music as "sick" or "brutal" this may be the quality they are describing, although everyone has a different opinion.

One of the best modern technical death metal bands. Although I generally find most technical death metal bands too overly infused in detail, intricacy, technicality and somewhat lacking melodic integrity and coherence as a result.
