I don't disagree with your assessment that it's 1. childish or 2. propaganda, but what I liked about it was it's "highlight reel" effect - it really does seem to cover everything that's gone wrong.

The video failed it's intent for me. I can see it was designed to insite rage at Bush, but it's use of hyperbole, insults, and lack of explanation unmined it's goal. Basically, the constant comparison between Hitler and Bush killed it. I was not aware Bush had called for the systematic elimination of an ethnicity, nor that he had invaded a country without warning.

As for the invasion thing, yeah, there was warning, but there was also a false pretext (and the Nazis claimed Poland attacked them first).

The hyperbole is tempered by the fact that the Constitution is, arguably, being ignored/over-ridden by this administration.

It's stupid stuff like that that gives most liberals a bad name.

as for the comparisons of Hitler to Bush, if you look from the viewpoint of fascism, then it's a spot on comparison. Corporations are the ones actually in charge of this country. When there was a congressional hearing on miner safety after one of the last mining disasters, one of the mining company heads WALKED OUT in the middle of questioning, saying he had a meeting to attend. (Gee, what meeting is so fricking important that you have to blow off the government?!) And when the oil tycoons were brought before congress to "get to the root of this whole expensive oil thing", they weren't sworn in. Even though a democratic congressman asked REPEATEDLY for them to be sworn in, so that they would be sworn to tell the truth. Even the frickin baseball folks were sworn in when talking about the steroids scandal, but oh no, the folks that are hunting/golfing buddies with the fellas in charge, nah, we can just take them on their word, right? And do I really need to mention Halliburton??

The message may make you uncomfortable but it looks like someone spent a fair bit of time on this. If it seems childish that's probably because it was created by a child. If anything that makes it a stronger message, imho.

No, quite the opposite. As soon as I see people's faces with insults splashed across them, especially when the author can only call people "whore", "douche", "clueless", " senile", along with the tired old Bush=Hitler comparison, and half-truths...it pretty much loses all credibility. It's an anti-Bush, anti-U.S. piece plain and simple. I don't vote for videos that just persuade you to hate.

although this video was put together a little sloppy and needed a bit more tact, i thought it was pretty good. yes, the whole hitler-bush thing is a little old, but maybe it persists for a reason. i think anything that calls your attention to what the government does is a good thing. just take what you see and form your own opinion. do a little research.

wumpus, i'd say anti-bush, yes... anti-u.s.? not at all. anti-government even, yes. (thus the rage track used)

regardless, i am an american. so i feel it is my right, and my duty, to question the ethics of our own government and how it will affect me as a citizen.

Okay, this has been here for some days but maybe you´re still interested in my two cents about anti-bush VS anti-us:

All you american guys should always remember that most of the people in the world really DO have a problem with your president and his fellows, but i think 99% of them don´t have anything bad to say about the american people themselves. i think i speak for a lot of my fellow people here in germany when i say we all think america is a great country and you are a great people, but you´re president and his buddies are all nuts :-)
