So, you wouldn't actually see that if you were just looking at it? How about a strobe? Those little dots you use for calibrating your turntable work when you're just looking at them because of the light.

Yeah, a strobe at the same frequency as the video camera would give you the same effect.

Animation is a beautiful thing.

Wow that was awesome, but for some reason I have a massive headache after watching that...

I saw a Toy Story 3D version of this at a Pixar exhibit. It was incredible to see in person. It looked like live CG. Very cool.
