Generally, Irish people are far better than anyone else at putting Irish people down. It's due to two things.

1: a self-deprecating sense of humour and
2: we're trying to make the rest of the world feel a little better because we all know that secretly, deep down, you all wish you were Irish Unless you're Mexican, in which case, you're already equally awesome.
