I know its a prototype, but it seems to be busting balls at a high rate.

it doesn't look like it has any balls in it at all, that's probably the CO2 condensing in the air. that being said, i was thinking the same thing when i saw it the first time. though it's not currently bursting them in-barrel, i totally see that happening. the load-rate would be waaaay slower than the fire-rate.

Apparently this guy is a special FX guy from "snakes on a plane" so this might just be a prop.

it's not shooting paint balls, that's just the co2 releasing. However, I cannot imagine that working to well. You break a ball in one of those barrels and it's all over.
