PROMETHEUS' GARDEN (excerpt) - Bruce Bickford

Now THIS is fascenating! I stumbled across it via a link in a story about a reclusive Seattle musical genius, Bill Bagley, who had a hand in creating the soundtrack. Enjoy! Wasn't sure if clay genitalia was NSW so watch at your own risk. YouTube: This is a brief excerpt from legendary underground animator Bruce Bickford's original 28-minute masterpiece of stop-motion, PROMETHEUS' GARDEN. Loosely based upon the Greek myth of Prometheus, a Titan who stole fire from the gods and made the first mortals out of clay, PROMETHEUS' GARDEN is the only completed film over which Bickford maintained 100% creative control. Bickford is best known for his collaborations with musician Frank Zappa in the 1970s. If you wanna see about 45 minutes of Bruce Bickford's schizophrenic claymation interspersed with some great concert footage of the Sheik Yerbouti tour (Terry Bozio/Adrian Belew) , check out Zappa's film, "Baby Snakes."
