Workers assemble and clean rebar panels on the middle chute of the Lake Oroville main spillway to prepare for the placement of structural concrete. Crews install an automatic concrete roller screed before placing structural concrete in slab forms on the middle chute.

These videos are great.

Are they pouring the concrete at night due to temp/humidity, or is it just because this is a 24/7 operation?

I read here that they pour at night for slower curing as it's quite hot during the day. They had to remove one of the slabs they poured last year because it had set up to quickly in the heat and wind. https://www.chicoer.com/2018/07/14/oroville-dam-a-tour-of-two-spillways-phase-two/

What a logistical marvel / nightmare. The complexity of some infrastructure that, ideally, we never even see is sometimes just ludicrous.
