notarobotsays...I'm assuming it's a kind of ray.
MilkmanDansays...I don't think that is a ray -- I've never seen a ray with a neck/head that extends that much away from the fins.
My first guess was that it is some kind of invertebrate... Maybe an echinoderm (more like a sea cucumber than an urchin) or more likely a weird sort of nudibranch?
Very neat shape and swimming technique, in any case.

MilkmanDansays...Very cool. I've done quite a bit of snorkeling (mostly in the Caribbean though) and have seen lots of weird fish and marine inverts, but never seen or heard of that before. Learn something new every day...
