BoneRemakesays...I really liked the yo y0.
Not because it was used as a weapon but because I felt neat-0-rific when I did around the world.
articiansays...Why is this in the 80's channel? It seems to me that the camera work and style it's shot in are definitely current (~2000-2010, digital, crappy MTV camera wobble, etc).

Just because something is recorded after the 80's doesn't mean it's not related to the 80's.
Yo-yo's are definitely 80's and even 90's, but I haven't seen a yo-yo in over 15 years in real life.
articiansays...I guess I don't associate Yo-yo's with the 80's. They've been around almost 100 years. I just thought that because the video had that pseudo-sepia filter over it, it was mistaken for being some 80's home-movie. That was the only connection I could make for '80's'.
Not a big deal, I was just confused.
Jinxsays...There was a huge yo-yo craze when I was a kid. I spent all my pocket money on a bright lime green yoyo with some slick bearings (http://www.yoyowiki.org/wiki/Henrys_Viper). In the end I mastered a pretty wide variety of tricks, including the notorious (well, it was notorious among kids that played with yo-yos...) "splitting the atom". http://youtu.be/FYK_up6zEtM
And wow, looking all that shit up was a total nostalgia trip.
