MrDerricksays...Frightening, I never heard about this until now. Why wasn't this a bigger story?
BillOreillysays...I've never heard of this Yeltsin guy, who was he?
prisonpandasays...Funny what you find on youtube i was looking for some Family Guy clips and somehow this appeared and i never heard of this either.
BicycleRepairMansays...Was a pretty big story at the time here in Norway, where it is referred to as the "Andøya incident" after the island, used for research that the rocket was launched from, however, it was not until a few years later we got to know how close Russia actually was to the launching the nuke, had we known at the time, the case surely would have gained more international press, but Russian warrooms are not exactly famed for constantly updating the press with their thoughts.

videosiftbannedmesays...Stuff like this just pisses me off. How many of these near misses have we had in the last 50 years? And those are the ones we publicly know about. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed in each and every case. But that may not be the case in the future, especially when we have a moron for a president who'd have an excuse to whip out his cock then do the smart thing and wait to see if a threat is real. I don't know if we'll survive 18 more months with this bonehead in office.
marrsays...That last mushroom cloud is pretty.
calvadossays...Just as remarkable (can't find vid for it, you'll have to read!)

budzossays...Last mushroom cloud is a shot from The Day After, a TV movie from 1983 which was the highest rated television event until about the 90s.
