deputydogsays...Quite hypnotising...
theo47says...Makes you realize what barbarians we still are.
GOOD Magazine, by the way, is excellent.
Pick up a copy if you see it.
deputydogsays...Don't think we can get hold of it in the UK. Never heard of it til I saw this clip, and this one..

JTZsays...Love for ratatat, nicely edited video. Although the number is a little outdated I think, don't have the exact numbers on hand. but I pretty sure USA has surpassed Russia in number of active nukes, and china has moved up on the number of nukes as well to about 400-500.
8578says...if the creator of this video can't even properly identify the United Kingdom/Britain, i wonder what else he's wrong about.
8727says...i think the whole of both islands were highlighted for animation purposes, it's not a biggy. the vids just making a general point.
videosiftbannedmesays...I was just looking up figures about 4 days ago as I was curious how many nuclear explosions have taken place since the invention. I knew there was quite a few but was never under the impression it was 2,044+ . There has been enough nuclear fallout to cover the earth with a thin layer of radioactive material, much like the band which geologists uncovered showing the explosion that killed the dinosaurs. Nowhere near as thick but it is there.

Numinarsays...GOOD magazine is good. Awesome video!
I imagine China, India and Pakistan will not be happy until they have as many as the U.S. and Russia. Even then the total will probably be less than what it was during the Cold War when everyone was going buckwild with them.
