You could replace all of the leaders of the world with revolutionaries of your choice, Chomsky included. It's an historical constant that within months they'll adopt the means and methods of the former oppressors.
Even assuming Chomsky is 98% correct, there will always be someone (or some group) ruling the world, sometimes for the better and more often not.
The most important thing is not to wait for the world to be perfect--politically or otherwise--before choosing happiness.
