There is a built-in cheat for minesweeper. As this video crops off where its output shows, I'm unimpressed.

He's using Minesweeper Clone which allows you to save a game and replay it as many times as you like. I'm guessing he's either memorized where the mines are, or has it written down.

Actually, that's exactly true, the good players don't think at all for 90% of the stuff you see in minesweeper, it's all trained reflexes.

It'd be very easy to change the program to make the smiley a different color.
