So, I never read the books. I only have the movie as my judge of HP, and it seems meh. Are the books any better?

I absolutely loved the books! I saw the first two movies before reading any of the books, and I was just blown away when I started reading. There is SO much more in the books, and they made me laugh like crazy. HD wasn't quite as fascinated, but he liked the books better too.

I had to get all the books asap, and got the newest ones within a few days of release (I am not crazy enough to go and camp out for them). If you like reading, I highly recommend the books. They start out slow, but get better and better imho.
