Muse don't like to lip-sync

Lol, this is great! To explain to those that don't get it -- the lead singer is playing drums, the drummer is playing bass and singing, the normal bassist is playing guitar.

As Afro Man says, fuck the corporate world.

I don't like big large live shows because a lot of them sound like shit. Its not the artists, its the venue.

For a good live show to take place there needs to be a good venue. I would contend that Muse could hold their own in that small of a set with out sounding like shit.

Take for instance a concert hall. Here is a list of some.

A modern electric band is only as good as its sound man, and the sound output devices.

Lets take this for example: Below the is an artist that I like, however I would much rather hear her sing for real. I am dogged by the idea that she is nothing but a digitally mapped effect, and the person on stage is just a face.

Take this for as another example: The same artists as above singing for real, I think.

Its hard as hell to get up on stage and play, sing, or act. The least you should do is do it for real.

It's so cool to know that some bands protest this form of deception. There is really nothing quite like a live performance, and you are ripping off your audience when you pre-record and mix everything. I have no problem with guiding or supporting vocal tracks, or even some electronic instrument enhancements, but the essence must be originating in the moment from the people on stage. The energy that reverberates between performer and audience is one of life's most magical phenomenons.

This band was beyond better than anything else at the VMA's and was the first time I heard them. I enjoyed the song a great deal.

Course the VMAs and the vast majority of US 'music' is absolute garbage anymore as it is.

Q: I had read that you love simphonic music, you have a 40 pieces orchestra here in Milan, why this mix between rock music and orchestral music?
A: the band had a kind of influence by the piano and artists such as chopin and rachmaninov so we tried tho take an orchestra to do something different from the past... it's been amazing

Hah, the answers have been translated back from Italian rather than recording what he actually said in English. I guess it turned out better than the famous News Radio scenario:
